The first step: The Kickoff Meeting
After weeks/months of the sales process, we are finally here. The green light to start marketing services for a brand new client. Wether or not the project is for a shiny new website build, or rendering only SEO services, the kickoff call is our first step towards a successful relationship.
The sales team will introduce the designated account manager via email, and prompts the account manager to begin fulfilling the terms agreed upon in their contract.
Hosting the Meeting
Once introduced, the account manager should schedule an in-person meeting, complete with all team members to be involved with the account. For example, most website projects will include a representative from the Design, Development, SEO, and Content teams. During the meeting, the following items should be completed:
- Complete the Client Overview Document
- Establish client Goals & KPI’s.
- Set Timeline and Present the Right Process for Web Project Development
- Present planned deliverable items for each phase of the Web Project.
- Establish Meeting Cadence
- Establish Main Points Of Contact
- Send Recap Email
