Theme Selection

Theme Selection Guide

Choosing a theme to be treated as the stock programming starting point can sometimes be a bit tricky.  But as long as you ensure varied guidelines are met, it’s rather straight forward.

  • Can the theme meet all or most of the programming requirements of the projects?  The more, the better.
  • Does this theme qualify for use with Word Press, and it’s current versions?
  • Check the comments section.  Do most of the customers seem happy with their purchase?
  • Check the authors reputation.  Have we used it before?  Do we know the author?  Are their plenty of purchases?

While these guidelines seem simple, they are actually quite important.  Because they not only dictate the ‘headstart’ we get by purchasing the stock programming, but also serves as a bases for the quality code the site’s main engine will run on.

Where do we go to find themes and stock programming?

We primarily get our themes from the envato market place.  We have a premium subscription to WordPress themes and plugins at their site called elements.envato.com.  We also purchase themes through their website template dedicated site, themeforest.net.  Our username for envato/themeforest will grant access to both.  Check 1pass for access.
